Cruise Itinerary:

Day 1: Hamburg, Germany

As well as exploring the city’s highlights, including its neo-renaissance and baroque architecture, Museum of Fine Arts and redbrick warehouse district, you can travel to attractive World Heritage city of Lübeck. Sample the famous Niederegger marzipan and explore Lübeck’s Old Town, where gabled houses and ancient churches span over 100 hectares.

Day 3: Oslo, Norway

The warm, welcoming atmosphere of Oslo is like that of a small village, as is some of its scenery, set in fjord with a forest-hill backdrop. It’s a wonderful and eclectic place to explore.

Day 5: Alesund, Norway

Arriving in Alesund, you could be forgiven for thinking you’d stepped off your ship into the pages of a fairy-tale. A myriad of towering spires and decorative turrets, it’s easy to see why this vibrant fishing port is regarded as one of the prettiest cities in Norway. 

Day 6: Olden, Norway

Just a short walk to the sleepy village on Norway’s Nordfjord, the tender port of Olden is where you will first lay eyes on Olden’s sweeping turquoise landscape and the extraordinary views that accompany it. 

Day 6: Scenic cruising Innvikfjorden, Norway

Earning its unofficial title of ‘Mother Nature’s Wonderland’, Innvikfjorden is one of the best-known fjords in Norway. Gently stretching across 4.5 kilometres, a cruise through these tranquil waterways on a Cunard Queen offers a constant stream of scenic views to admire. Where you choose to enjoy them is up to you. Perhaps in the private sanctuary of your stateroom’s balcony, or settled in a steamer chair while enjoying a drink on deck?

Day 6: Scenic cruising Nordfjord, Norway

A journey that delivers no end of outstanding views, a cruise-by of Nordfjord is your chance to immerse yourself in the mesmerising natural scenery that’s a signature of sailing Norway’s Fjords.

Day 7: Stavanger, Norway

Once the European Capital of Culture, the Norwegian city of Stavanger is blessed with a compelling history and unbridled beauty effortlessly blending the old with the new. From its ancient port the city fans out along a network of islands, each one connected to its neighbour by an elegant bridge. In Gamle Stavanger (the historic centre) artists’ workshops still occupy 18th century houses, much as they did in years gone by. It’s a wonderful chance to step back in time and immerse in the Stavanger of old, while the city’s museums shed light on Stavanger’s long-standing relationship to the sea. 

Day 8: Kristiansand, Norway

Stay and explore the charms of the old town, or venture beyond at your own pace, by walking through shaded forests to dramatic openings and views of the port or by taking a boat trip along the coast.

Day 9-10: At Sea

Day 11: Southampton, England, UK

As the main city and port on England's south coast, Southampton's harbour is a gateway to a world of adventures. The promenade alongside the marina invites you to explore the city's maritime allure. Once a vital trading port, Southampton has evolved into a brilliant destination, boasting an array of cafes, restaurants, museums, and galleries.

Day 2: Chill the Champagne!

This morning, meet your Tour Director and travel companions and board the high-speed Eurostar train to travel through the Eurotunnel into France. Arrive in Paris this afternoon. The rest of the day is yours to either explore this iconic city independently or join an optional excursion. *

Day 3: J’adore Paris

Today, your sightseeing is composed of a guided walk to discover one of Paris’s iconic quarters, plus a scenic cruise on the River Seine with incredible views of celebrated landmarks. Enjoy some free time to explore more independently or join an optional excursion. *

Day 4: Spend your day your way in Dijon

This morning drive to Dijon, the historical capital of Burgundy. Explore more of Dijon with your choice of included Globus Choice excursions. Free time this afternoon and evening to enjoy a city that is renowned for its delightful blend of history, culture, and culinary delights.

Day 5: The Lush Life & Lion Hearts

A scenic drive through the French countryside, then cross the border into Switzerland. Arrive in Lucerne and join a walking tour to see the highlights of Lucerne. Stop to admire the Lion Monument, a moving rock relief sculpture and the 14th-century Chapel Bridge that crosses the River Reuss from the Altstadt (old town). The rest of the afternoon and evening are free to explore this alpine gem.

Day 6: Sweet Sights in Lucerne

Enjoy a morning of free time before departing for Bergamo. En route enjoy the stunning mountain scenery of the Swiss Alps interrupted only by the St. Gotthard Road tunnel. Cross the border into Italy to reach Bergamo. This evening, relax and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Higher Love

Take a Globus Local Favourite funicular ride to Bergamo Alta, the old town strategically located on a hill. Enjoy an orientation walk to see the most important squares and palaces. Later drive to Venice and take a private boat ride along the Giudecca Canal. Prepare for breathtaking views as you sail in front of the entrance to St Mark’s Square. Disembark for an orientation walk to St. Mark’s Square and a noted vetreria to meet a local glassblower and learn how the world-famous Murano glass is created. After some free time to explore independently, Globus Local Favourite enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before traveling like a VIP with a private water taxi ride along the Grand Canal.

Day 8: Italian Beauties

Back to mainland Italy, drive across the River Po and Apennine Mountains to reach Florence, one of Italy’s most celebrated cities. Meet your local guide for a walk through the historic centre, stopping to admire and learn more about the cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the massive bronze doors of the Baptistry’s “Gates of Paradise,” and the sculptures of Signoria Square. Later, take a scenic drive past the rolling green hills of Tuscany and Umbria en route to Rome. This evening enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 9: When in Rome

Discover the timeless beauty of Rome with a guided sightseeing of the Eternal City. Be transported back to Ancient Rome when you stand in the Colosseum and hear stories of Gladiators and Emperors. Enter the Vatican City State for a visit of the extensive Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Square, and the spectacular St. Peter's Basilica. Free time late afternoon and evening to take in more sights and experiences.*
