Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Rome Welcome to Rome! Meet your Globus Tour Director and fellow travel companions this evening for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Rome Spend your day your way in Rome with your choice of included Globus Choice excursions. Choose from a guided walking tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, a guided walk through the Colosseum and Roman Forum, or a visit to the Rome Jewish Ghetto and Saint Mary Major Basilica.

Day 3: Rome – Florence Leave Rome behind as you journey through the olive groves and vineyards of Umbria and Tuscany to Florence. Meet your Local Guide for a visit to the Academy of Fine Arts to see Michelangelo's David statue, followed by a walk through the historic centre, admiring the cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistry's Gates of Paradise.

Day 4: Florence – Venice Cross the Apennine Mountains to reach Venice. Take a private boat ride along the Giudecca Canal before an orientation walk to St. Mark's Square. Meet a local glassblower for a Murano glass demonstration, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, then travel like a VIP on a private water taxi ride along the Grand Canal.

Day 5: Venice – Bellinzona, Switzerland – Lucerne Cross into Switzerland and arrive in Bellinzona, taking the elevator up to the Courtyard of Castelgrande for a light lunch of local specialties paired with Merlot wine. Continue through the stunning Swiss Alps to Lucerne.

Day 6: Lucerne Join a walking tour of Lucerne this morning, stopping to admire the Lion Monument and the 14th-century Chapel Bridge. The rest of the day is free to explore this beautiful alpine city at your leisure.

Day 7: Lucerne – Basel – Paris, France Drive to Basel and board a high-speed TGV train to Paris. Relax and watch the French countryside pass by as you arrive in the City of Light this afternoon.

Day 8: Paris The morning is yours to explore independently or join an optional excursion. This afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through one of Paris's iconic quarters, followed by a dinner cruise on the River Seine with breathtaking views of the city's celebrated landmarks.

Day 9: Paris – London, England Say au revoir to Paris as you board the high-speed Eurostar Train to London, arriving this afternoon. Free time to begin discovering some of London's many attractions.

Day 10: London Morning sightseeing with a Local Guide includes the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace and a visit to St. Paul's Cathedral. The afternoon and evening are free to explore at your own pace.

Day 11: London Your tour ends with breakfast this morning. Transfer to Southampton to embark on your 14-night Fire and Ice Explorer cruise onboard Majestic Princess.
