Cruise to Papua New Guinea & the South Pacific!

Want to get off the beaten track? Take our most jam-packed Papua New Guinea holiday and sample all the highlights of this remote region.

One of the final frontiers of the South Pacific, Papua New Guinea is one of the most exciting places to cruise to. There are sunken warships to find, beautiful cultural celebrations to enjoy and abundant marine life to see. Papua New Guinea is truly like no place on earth.

There are a range of shore tours available to suit every taste, interest and fitness level. Visit beautiful remote beaches, paddle a traditional canoe, witness fascinating rituals and shop for local handicrafts. Our pick of Papua New Guinea? That would have to be the Conflict Islands, where P&O pioneered ports are still as untouched as when we first visited.

Itinerary Highlights;

Kiriwina Island: Discover amazing culture and stunning natural surrounds on Kiriwina Island, a unique experience not to be missed. Here, one of the world’s most intact island cultures lives on one of the world’s most untouched islands. Be among the select few who are lucky enough to experience them both.

Conflict Islands: Possibly the most peaceful place on earth! Don’t be fooled by the name, Conflict Islands is the most peaceful place on the planet! Lap it up on a stand-up paddle board or kayak while exploring the world’s most biodiverse reef systems. Or you can take a tour of the Turtle Nursery to interact with adorable baby turtle hatchlings which you can hand-feed a specialised turtle formula.

Meet Pacific Encounter!

Pacific Encounter will showcase many of P&O’s favourite features as well as a range of new ones that you are going to love.

Guests will love the new celebrity chef dining venues, Luke’s Bar & Grill by Luke Mangan and 400 Gradi by award-winning Melbourne chef, Johnny di Francesco.

The Lobby, located on deck 5 is our favourite new hang out place, from morning to night. Choose from Charlie’s, The Deli and Ivy + Brie. You can meet in the morning for coffee, relax in the afternoon with your favourite drink and a cheese board and come back at night for chilled live music.

Familiar favourites include Waterfront, Angelo’s, Dragon Lady, and Shell & Bones or go casual in The Pantry. Head to the child-free Oasis for a cocktail and a perfect view of the ship’s wake or the chilled-out vibe in the Ocean Bar.
