King George River

A cruise along the King George River is the iconic Kimberley experience. The river, located in the North Kimberley Marine Park in Western Australia, flows 70 miles through an ancient gorge lined with soaring, red sandstone walls before it empties into Koolama Bay and the Timor Sea. Your Seabourn ship drops anchor in the bay, where you and your fellow guests board Zodiacs to venture up the awe-striking canyon carved nearly 2 billion years ago.

Vansittart Bay 

Step ashore on remote Jar Island to see the remarkable Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art, believed to be among the world’s oldest figurative paintings. Your expedition team brings these ancient stories to life as you explore this rugged, rarely visited corner of the Kimberley.

Ashmore Reef

Discover a protected marine wonderland known for clear waters and vibrant reef life. Enjoy an included snorkeling experience (conditions permitting), with chances to spot colourful fish, coral gardens, sea turtles and other extraordinary marine species.

Hunter River

Explore the maze-like Bonaparte Archipelago and step into one of the world’s richest rock art regions. Visit spectacular galleries featuring both Wandjina and Gwion Gwion art, created over thousands of years by the ancestors of the Wunambal Gaambera people. Learn the stories behind the wide-eyed Wandjina spirit figures and the older Gwion Gwion paintings, which depict elongated human figures hunting, dancing and even sailing, offering a rare window into the ancient culture of the Kimberley.

Montgomery Reef

Witness one of the Kimberley’s most unforgettable natural spectacles as the tide drops and water cascades off the reef, creating a river-like flow and countless mini waterfalls. As the reef emerges, you may spot fish, rays and turtles in the tidal pools while seabirds circle above.

The Discovery Center, which is adjacent to the Expedition Lounge on Deck 4, acts as the teaching & academic center for natural history and cultural programming in an environment spacious enough to accommodate all guests at one time. The world-class 26-person expedition team of wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists will deliver rich, insightful lectures and discussions on a broad array of topics related to the region where guests are sailing.

Expedition Lounge

The Expedition Lounge, located on Deck 4, is the heart of the ship. A gathering place for the curious, guests are invited to relax or linger with a complimentary cocktail or glass of fine wine from the bar as they share photos and stories from the day with their fellow travelers and the onboard staff. The Expedition Lounge will be central to the Seabourn expedition operation where guests convene before and after expeditions each day.
